Maria Garcia Torres earned her Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering and minor in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Maria is passionate about her role as Vice President and is committed to helping foster career and academic growth through SHPE.
Originally from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, she spends her free time practicing tennis, MMA and studying.

Originally from Miami, he’s passionate about technology, mentorship, and helping others navigate the challenges of pursuing a career in STEM. In his free time, he enjoys music, road trips, and exploring nature; whether it’s fishing on the coast back home or hiking the rivers and trails of the Texas Hill Country.

Graduating from Baylor University with a B.A. in Journalism and Telecommunication, Andrew also holds an MBA from Houston Christian University. As treasurer, he helps the chapter manage financial resources to advance SHPE’s role in shrinking the STEM workforce gap. Originally from Houston, he’s also an active volunteer with Texas Public Radio and the SAISD Foundation.
